We Are Vapers
We Are Vapers – A Documentary Film from Linc Williams on Vimeo.
Smoking tobacco can contribute to major health, problems. In the United States and Canada alone, over 50 million people are spending over $50 billion each year for a product which could eventually kill them. The vast majority of smokers who attempt to quit fail.
Today virtually all efforts in tobacco control are prohibitionist in nature and are aimed at breaking nicotine addiction to prevent the use of all tobacco products, rather than focusing on reducing smoke exposure.
There is a different approach to saving lives – Tobacco Harm Reduction
Tobacco harm reduction describes actions that one can take to lower the health risks associated with smoking tobacco. Tobacco Harm Reduction strategies center around providing sufficient nicotine to maintain normal functioning while eliminating the harmful effects of inhaling smoke. A very important part of tobacco harm reduction is simply educating people about the risks of different sources of nicotine.
Electronic cigarettes are intended as an alternative to smoking tobacco cigarettes. They are not designed to treat nicotine addiction, only provide nicotine in a safer manner. Electronic cigarettes are a simple devices that affords the committed smoker nicotine intake through a battery-operated system.
Recent estimates indicate that there are approximately 2.5 million e-cigarette users in the United States.
This film will explore the concept of Smoking Tobacco Harm Reduction, e-cigarettes role and the community that has risen alongside it.
This documentary will cover:
· History of E-Cigarettes
· Personal Stories of e-cigarette users (also known as Vapers)
· The Concept of Harm Reduction
· The Personalities of the Community
· The Health Implications

I’m removing myself as a vender on 1/16/2012.
if being a vender would have been an issue, it wouldn’t be now.
can give insite into devices, what people look for, what i look for, and anything else related to ecig info.
Jolly – would love your help – where are you located? you can email me baldgroove@gmail.com
Thanks for the interview and im glad to be a part of this great step forward for Vapers all everywhere. I can not express my feelings about how vaping has improved my quality of life as well as that of my family who surround me. The vape community has become a second family to me and I have made it a point to protect my family and do whatever necessary in order to promote and defend our rights to live a healthier and longer life.
I’m psyched to see this through to the end. Thanks for having me on the team Linc!
CASAA is doing an amazing job in their efforts to educate people and advocate for vaping. This documentary supports CASAA!
We Are Vapers has an opportunity to take Public Awareness and Public Education about Tobacco Harm Reduction to an entirely new level. Vaping is not only changing/saving lives one at a time, it is saving lives by the millions all around the world.
Unfortunately, there is so much misinformation circulating amongst policy makers, regulators and the general public about vaping. We Are Vapers will help to educate the world and change misinformation into accurate factual information. As news of this documentary (in pre-production very soon) begins to spread, the larger education process will begin. Hopefully, those who now fear and/or resist this newer use of basic technology as an alternative (to the horrendously harmful effects of inhaling the combustion smoke of burning tobacco) will begin to see not only why they should support vaping as a profound means to Tobacco Harm Reduction – but, even moreso, why they should start to embrace vaping wholeheartedly as an alternative for smokers.
The numerous PERSONAL stories of how vaping has changed the lives of smokers (converting so many into former smokers – when all other attempts and alternatives have failed so many of them), and the lives of their families, are too numerous to count. We Are Vapers will bring some of these stories to the world. These stories, together with all the other education oriented and factual information presented in the We Are Vapers documentary, will help change fear and resistance into support and enthusiasm about vaping.
Smoking kills – plain and simple. Being a part of this project will be one of the greatest honors in my life. Please get involved. Support financially if you can: http://www.indiegogo.com/WeAreVapers If you cannot contribute monetarily, please spread the word – post links to this site, links to the IndieGoGo page, and/or spread the word via social media, forums, email, etc. If you vape, smoke, know anyone who does or know any lives which have been impacted by smoking – supporting this film is one of the greatest things you do to help change the way the world views vaping. Please, support Harm Reduction.
just donated, thought to myself, “heck, I can sacrifice a little vape mail this month to help make this project happen”
Vaping saved my kife after 43 years of tobacco
Happily donated. Keep up the great work! Everybody needs to be informed and stay informed!!!
Started smoking when I was 15 and was on a pack a day by 18 when I decided that I needed to stop. I got a starter kit and I haven’t smoked a cigarette since. If not for vaping, I would still be on the same path and who knows how early in my life I would start to see the negative effects. Can’t wait to see the dcoumentary.
I would love to offer up a couple stories of my Wife and I. They are not very dramatic but they are ProVaping. We have both made the switch and now smoke free. We don’t have much time or money but I can offer to let you stay at our house if you should so happen to be driving through the Midwest (specifically the eastern side of Missouri) and need a place to park for the night. Our town is just off I-70 which travels east and west straight through Missouri. Oak Grove has three trucks stops and a Walmart so we pretty have everything one might need while traveling.
Very excited to see this project succeed.
I’m so glad that this documentary is taking place, because maybe more people will better understand vaping. Electronic cigarettes have been advertised as a device that you can use anywhere you want, but because of the lack of understanding towards it, you really can’t. At my job, for example, I pretty much have to vape outside with all the other smokers, and I know the only reason I have to do that is because the people who make the rules at my job just don’t get it. Most of the people I work with smoke, and I get the occasional comment like, “What the hell is that?” and, “Whats with the bottle?” and “Better not let a cop see you puffing on that thing, he might thing your smoking a bowl,” but no smokers who see me puffing on my mod really show an interest in vaping. I think the problem lies in the fact that there are no brick and mortar vaping shops around my area that sell quality vaping products, and have knowledgeable staff to teach people how to use these product. The only experience they get as far as vaping goes are the cheap corner store e-cigs that barely work, and the people who sell them don’t know a thing about them either. So the crappy disposable e-cig that people buy doesn’t work, therefore they dismiss vaping as an option to quit without realizing there are better options out there. I hope this documentary changes people’s views on vaping, and gets rid of the fallacies out there.
This will be awesome for the future of vaping!!! Cheers!
i have a little bit of production experience.

i would love to help in some way, beyond the donation ill be making later.
What people should realize is that it actually is a vaporizer. Not a cigaret. Liquid is the main thing and u can use different methods to vaporize it. It’s crazy vapers hide the device they using becouse it’s different then a cigaret. But I see it different. If smokers ask me wtf is that I just tell em that it ain’t the poison they smoking and i enjoy it more than when I smoked.
I helped about 6ppl quit smoking with some simple package that I recommended them.
A good device daily vape juice that don’t get boring and I tell em how to use it.
It’s crazy that most devices don’t have a good manual about how to use it and/or the differences of cartomizers/atomizers. People get confused in the big forest of things to chose from and how they will perform or besides that will it all fit together.
All people only hear the bad things (exploded in face) and they say no. I tell em from the millions one exploded and no one ever died using them. Anyways too much on my heart to tell here
Good luck with the documentary !! Greetings from the Netherlands
i made the switch back in january… unfortunately, i don’t have much to donate other than time and my experience, which is pretty much this: i smoked a pack a day for 10 years, discovered vaping, tried it, and instantly fell in love! i like it better than traditional tobacco, and have found the whole experience of trying different products and juices very entertaing and rewarding. vaping has become a hobby and passion for me, and i can’t wait to see the documentary! please let me know if there is anything i can do to help!
Amazing!
Would love to help. Quit the cigs after chantix all the usual aids that are out there but I love my e-cig!!!!! Smoked almost a pack and a half for almost 17 years and quit the cigs in 3 days. I love trying new flavore and cartos batteries and love vaping!!!
